Little Shack On Main

Little Shack On Main

"The house was owned by Carter Fisher and his wife, Celestia, along with 264 acres of land that stretched from Coit to Independence. Not sure when they bought the land but would estimate 20's or 30's. Carter farmed the land until his death, I think in the 70's. Celestia bought a home in Frisco and moved to town following his death. They had one daughter, Mary Celestia, who never married. I believe that she passed on several years ago in Dallas. The land was never part of the Box Ranch but today is part of the Brinkmann Ranch. The property was sold in November 1983. The house was used as rental property for some time following the sale but ultimately fell into disrepair and has sat vacant for many years."
Some nasty squatters were living there up into at least the late 90s. They bulked heaps of trash into the barns.
